Blog: P2P

File Sharing is the ability to transfer the files from one computer or software with the use of internet or network to another another computer. For example, using Google Drive, a free file storage service, is a great way to file share.

P2P file sharing is the ability to distribute digital media using networks and services designed for P2P. Peers are connected by accessing the computer systems that are connected with each other through the internet.

An example of P2P file sharing is P2P lending and the company that facilitates that type of file sharing is Lending Club. After reading, "Peers Find Less Pressure Borrowing From Each Other", by Wendy Kaufman from Morning Edition, I was intrigued by why people are satisfied with this. P2P lending is a platform and service where investors fund loans to borrowers. P2P lending is powered by the internet, which helps lower costs and serves as an alternative to traditional bank loaning systems. People using this type of P2P file sharing are satisfied because the costs of interest is cheaper than what they would be paying if they got a loan from the bank.
